In August 2023, the Linn-Mar High School Class of 1973 reunited to celebrate their 50th class reunion, amazed by the dramatic transformation of their alma mater over the years. During a tour of Linn-Mar Stadium, they were particularly moved by the Armstrong Victory Bell, a symbol of the school’s rich history, which had fallen into disrepair. Originally from a one-room schoolhouse and later relocated to Armstrong Field in 1968, the bell now sits at Linn-Mar Stadium in its restored glory! Thank you to the Class of 1973 for restoring the bell as their legacy project.
We need your help now to finish funding the restoration as well as fund future maintenance of the Armstrong Victory Bell. We invite you to join in preserving this important piece of Linn-Mar history. Your donation will ensure it remains a proud symbol for future generations of Lions. Let’s ring in the next 50 years together!
